Had a spur of the moment idea to visit my long time friend in St Paul MN this weekend. In doing this I achieved a few things.
1. My wife was able to visit and spend more time with her family. Gave a quick ride to her neice and sister who have never flown in a private plane before.
2. I got to spend time with my buddy and share a ride in the plane with him and his fiancee. Back in the day it was joyriding in my parents Corvette!
3. I performed a long cross country requirement for the Commercial License of 300 mils with 3 landings and one leg of the trip over 250 miles.
4. I demonstrated how much easier it is to spend time with people when they are in another state.
I’m hoping to make more trips in the near future either for events or charity missions. I’ll be in class for a few Saturdays but will pick up after that. If you know of an upcoming event I’d love to hear more about it!
