Winding the Spring

Good news! I have crossed the finish line and earned an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic certification. This enables me to work on aircraft and return them to service. Only exceptions are major repairs/ alterations and annual inspections. This new ability will further enhance Ruff-Air’s services.

The next step is to pick up where I left off in flight training. With the added training benefits from Boeing this year, I would be a fool not to knock out as many as possible ASAP. First rating is Commercial, which allows limited flights for hire, followed by CFI to train new pilots. Additional ratings for Multi-engine, Instrument instructor, and Air Transport Pilot are also on the To Do list.

The only drawback is the weather this time of year. It’s currently snowing with a “warming” trend through the weekend. The next couple of steps are a Flight Review and Instrument Proficiency Check followed by getting the Ruff-Air Mooney back in the sky! Flight Instructor training will then begin. I’m really missing $4.00 Av gas right now!

Tail is back on with new bearings!

I’m so happy to be back on track! More to come!
