Happy Day!!! I found out yesterday that my newly purchased aircraft has maintenance items completed and is ready for pickup. That is fabulous news but there is one small detail, I have to go 440 miles away to get it from NC. I have my Complex Endorsement but the Insurance Co wants me to have 10 hours in the aircraft with a Flight Instructor before I will be covered for flights on my own. I contacted Ed Shafer from Shafer Flying Service who has the qualifications and can help me bring it home! So Excited!! I am hopeful that I can knock out the required hours and then get to my hometown to meet up with my long time friend and his daughter.
I have been getting a lot of email notices for Pilots N Paws missions to and from my area. I am looking forward to volunteering for them as soon as possible as rescued pets are close to my heart. We have 2 rescued dogs who have been wonderful additions to out family!
I am feeling so blessed to have found so many opportunities to fly even before receiving my airplane! I’ll be posting the details of upcoming flights as soon as all of the prerequisites are completed. See you soon!
