No Fly February or ???

Most years the weather and other commitments would severely limit the flyable days in February but 2020 is different. I have added 38 hours in the logbook this month and I have more scheduled tomorrow! My calendar has been filled with aviation related events with more coming every day.

Some highlights of this past month are:

Installed and tested ADS-B out. Now ATC and other aircraft can know my position and altitude.
More training flights for Instrument rating, Plus acting as safety pilot for my friend who is also pursuing IFR rating.
Brought 4 sweet pups (lab pup on seat next to me) from shelter near Memphis to Morris where another PnP pilot finished the trip to Appleton WI. Jesse the fuzzy one behind me went to his forever home there.
A little snow makes some nice pictures. Sometimes it challenges a pilot by making hazy curtains like this one. Wasn’t a cloud or snow, it was somewhere in between.
Flying myself to my next lesson. Such a nice perk!
My Flight Instructor kit was delivered. Next step on the journey!

With another PnP mission tomorrow and many other missions waiting I anticipate this next month to be even busier. I have passed the knowledge test for IFR and have a Checkride scheduled for mid March. With a lot of practice, I’ll finish the Commercial certificate soon after as I begin training to teach what I have learned. I’ve already begun tutoring at the college 2 days a week because I love helping my classmates to succeed.

With the nicer weather I hope to see everyone hanging out at the airports or simply enjoying the outdoors. #flysafe
